Mainger – Pre-War

Mainger – Echo Faces

Mainger – Rendez-Vouz

Mainger – Flying Soul

Massive 4-track EP of stunning tunes from French producer Mainger.
Pre-War’s minor chords, exotic vocals and classic dubstep bassline undulate between tension and release. On Echo Faces, lilting synths, jazzy piano lines and Latin percussion meld to create an uplifting house vibe. Flying Soul’s deep intensity is punctuated with haunting vocal samples and rolling bass stabs. Rendez-Vous rounds out the package with its jungle-tinged beats and sun-drenched melodies.

Big tunes. This future jungle tune [Rendez-Vouz (Original Mix)] is a bit special, and the deep, moody dubstep bits are tasty as well. 9/10 – Tony Parker/DTSFNEYMCCT

Loving the hands up future jungle vibes in “Rendez-Vouz”. Will be playing that out for certain! Brilliant EP overall. Top job Haunted Audio fam! 10/10 – Christian Hoffman/Toronto Is Broken

Loving the chilled vibe on Rendez Vous. Pre War is the standout for me though. Gorgeous. – Adam/Breakonomics

After the beautiful Breathe EP release Mainger returns! Pre-War preaches peace with massaging chants that tingle from ear to ear. A mixture of the soothing and the abrasive occurs pleasantly. Echo Faces warms up winter – delightful, summery & has you smiling while floating away on a cloud throughout. Flying Soul has similar effect to Echo Faces, with a bit more of a dark feeling. Variety wise, Rendez-Vous – on the Drum & Bass vibe – completes a masterpiece 4 track EP. 9/10 – GDM

..I like Pre War, excellent production on that tune. I love it when a producer can make a minimal tune sound giant. :) – Akrophobia

Great mixture of sound. Top notch production. Flying soul has a perfect balance of emotion. 8/10 – Luthor

Really like Echo Faces. Will bump this! – Undrig/John DeWitt/sub.fm

Flash Hubbard – Three(Original Mix) really sets the vibe with it’s crisp, minimal percussion and enchanting vox work! Perfect set opener! 8/10 – DGGZ/Vibes Refresh Session/Sub.fm

Innex – Shaman EP – HAR136

Posted in Innex by ghosty on November 15, 2012 No Comments yet
Innex – Shaman – HAR136b
Innex – Ancient Curse – HAR136b
Innex – Lost – HAR135c

A trio of dubstep tunes in the classic style by Russian producer Innex, Shaman and Ancient Curse feature intense bass intermingled with with tribal vocal samples and instrumentation, while Lost focuses on the deeper, more chill side of dubstep business.

In Shaman I’m really feeling the relentless percussion’s lead into the deep space of the throat tones at the end! Very original, very sick! The vibes in Lost are perfect for setting the tone in a dark lounge, BIG! 8/10 – DGGZ/Vibes Refresh Session/Sub.fm

“Shaman” is the one for me, darkness for ages!!! – CixxxJ/Bassponmi

oh yes! feelin the Shaman tune for sure. Will prolly drop this on the filth fm tonight, Thank you!
10/10 – Akrophobia/Low Pass Audio

I could literally get ‘lost’ in that sub bass. Quality. – Adam/Breakonomics

Stealthy and seductive. I like! 8/10 – Undrig/John DeWitt/sub.fm

Really feeling “Lost” – Christian Hoffman/Toronto Is Broken

Calling upon the spirits while reverberating at frequencies from this world and the next, these 3 sub heavy tunes from Innex can best be described as ritualistic dubstep, the soundtrack to a sacrifice or a Saturday night. 8/10 – SomeJerk/PatternAwareness/Miami Dubstep

Ancient Curse is cool. Bit too much of this “style” of dubstep these days, find it hard to find stuff that really stands out. Quality stuff here though. – Roko / sub.fm

I love the vocal/tribal influences in ‘Shaman’ and the hypnotic beat that draws you in…the instrumental refrain in ‘Ancient Curse’ carries the mood over and the depth of ‘Lost’ anchors the vibe. Great tunes, definitely bringing them into my next set! Nice work! 8/10 – DJ Winter

Ancient Curse simply possesses you with all elements of the tune. A superb merging melee. Second drop – top quality. Shaman is gritty and enjoyable with a haunting yet engrossing vocal sample. The final part of this tune is seriously pleasurable to the ears – the second drop is stunning. Innex’s Lost…words escape me. Just ridiculously good. A rare instant favourite. Mahusive release. – GDM

Mind is a beautiful percussive journey with beautiful atmosphere. Loving the future garage. Loungy vibe on I will also. This is a brilliant release. - Adam/Breakonomics

Mind is super deep and dreamy! I bet that’s really hard to mix though I Will is my fav here. I’m a sucker for the funk and those dubby vocal delays! 8/10 – Akrophobia

Both are really nice and light, perfect for summer! Mind is more minimal yet maintains complexity and I Will has a really nice sexy groove; delicate vocals and a floating synth are the perfect accent to the steppy beats. 8/10 – DJ Winter

Amazing bass and percussion work in ‘Mind’ definition of a ‘banger’! I Will is tight… perfect stabs and vocal work. 9/10 – DGGZ/Vibes Refresh Session/Sub.fm

2 very original racks here offering something a bit different. Nice and deep. 9/10 – Mike Hindle/Immersed Audio Blog
